In my previous review, I detailed the significant discrepancies between our recent visit on 06/29/2024 and the quality advertised online. These included small portion sizes, burnt chicken, and fruit cups less than half full. The Waffle Lab responded by claiming I "harassed" staff. This is entirely untrue. My wife and I maintained a respectful demeanor throughout the visit and did not engage with staff about the discrepancies at that time. Following up with The Waffle Lab via email resulted in a partial refund. However, the subsequent phone call lacked professionalism and did not address the core issues regarding the significant discrepancies between the advertised quality and the food we received. I have attached mine and Waffle Labs communication. While I appreciate a partial refund being issued after further communication, the initial accusations and dismissive tone of The Waffle Lab's responses were disappointing via email and the phone call. This entire interaction left me feeling unheard and frustrated as a customer. For the benefit of future diners, I hope The Waffle Lab takes steps to improve food quality and customer service based on my experience. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I won't be returning to The Waffle Lab as It was my first and LAST Time. Please review our email communication as well of how they responded. ****************************************************************** Original Review: My wife and I opted for brunch at The Waffle Lab recently and chose to sit outdoors. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't what we had hoped for. Initially, the table we were choose was dirty, but the waitress addressed it quickly with a rag and cleaned it up. Once seated, the food itself was a bit of a letdown. My maple bacon waffle came with a surprisingly small amount of bacon and light syrup, and the overall portion size felt small. My wife's chicken and gravy waffle featured dry and burnt chicken. Considering the $56.48 price and the fact that we were the only customers there at 1:00 pm, we felt the value for money wasn't there. The food quality felt like something we could have easily recreated at home, with better portion control. Honestly, with so many competitors offering larger portions, better ingredients, and potentially more competitive prices, we were left feeling underwhelmed. Adding to this, the two fruit sides we ordered were disappointing as well. The bowls weren't even halfway full, and we saw a much larger portion size in a recent online review. While we wanted to maintain a positive atmosphere during our visit, this detail did leave us feeling a bit shortchanged.

One of the best restaurants around! Great service, fantastic waffles. They’ve been working to up their game with better local Boulder coffee and are always happy to give the best breakfast. A regular stop for us since our munchkins ask to come back all the time.

We stopped here today after wanting to visit for awhile. The service was great and the food was amazing! I had the chicken and waffles, but I added an egg for an all around brunch experience. It was a perfect blend of savory and sweet. The portion sizes were good and matched the price we paid.

Waffle Lab is probably my favorite breakfast place in Fort Collins, and there are a ton of great ones to choose from. Their liege waffles are life-changing; you'll never want regular waffles again! The chicken and waffles is my favorite savory dish, and every component is delicious! The waffles are sweet and don't get soggy, the chicken is fried to perfection, and the sausage gravy is delightful. Their sweet waffles are all amazing, and their fruit cup is huge and full of high-quality fresh fruit. The servers are always cheery and nice, and whenever I get pick-up there is a little doodle on the bag (which I love!). The parking lot is a bit annoying to get in and out of, but it's well worth it! It's also within a short walking distance from the parking garages downtown, which is very convenient! Overall just a great waffle and a great experience!

I tried the raspberry mocha and that was delicious! Even with half of the raspberry syrup. I also got the chicken and waffles. The chicken and the waffle were good but the gravy could have used more flavor. Also, they could have given a little more syrup to go with the meal. The food came out in record time and the service was very pleasant. I would like to try some of the sweet options next time to get more taste of the waffle without gravy interfering.
