Not everything is bigger in Texas! But it is definitely here. Far from the lone star state, this little saloon certainly has all the beef in its barn. Delicious brisket, moist and slightly tender to hold up any cow boy’s spurs. The big steer ribs fell right of the bone and there was nothing shy of well feed cattle in this ranch. Kid or an adult, the Mac n cheese was off the wagon train delicious. There are plenty of signature sauces to flood the gates with. My favorite was the seriously Texas bbbq.

We were driving and noticed this place. We decided to give it a try since we were looking for a place to eat anyway. Upon entry, it felt like a pretty cool place. The prices seemed reasonable (especially for bbq), so we ordered. We fed our family of 5 for about $110 with beverages. The food was ready right as I paid, and we sat down to eat. It's good to point out that this location doesn't have seating for large groups to sit together (just and fyi). Most of the tables only allowed for 4 people. Regardless, we pulled up an extra chair and went to town. The food was warm, but it was pretty dry. I'm not a big sauce fan because if a protein is cooled right, it will provide its own special flavors. Anyway, the ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and sausage were dry. I also had an order or cheese potatoes, and they should he called pepper potatoes instead. Now, I'm not bashing the place. It wasn't terrible, we ate our food, and it was pleasant.

I was so excited to try their brisket stuffed potato my friend told me about. It was our first time in, we got there at 7:00pm and the place was empty. The girl serving us was helpful and nice. Once we sat down with our food, a younger staff member started very loudly stacking all the chairs up around us. They are all metal and it was so loud, and he seemed annoyed we were there. I’m not sensitive to noises but it felt like we were being pushed out. They close at 9:00pm mind you. We got three sides (beans, potato salad, coleslaw) and all of them were very bland. The brisket had a good flavor but was extremely fatty and I had more fat pieces picked off than meat. We both got beers and they were barely cold and the sauces on the table were sticky and dirty. I try to see the good in most things but I was really disappointed and wanted to complain but knew these high school students didn’t want that on a Friday night so maybe management sees this. All this to say that I had better hopes for this place and in a world where restaurants close at the flick of a switch you need to do better. We won’t be returning.

Gave this place two tries. Over the two visits tried the brisket, chicken sandwich, pulled pork, pinto beans, and their tater. Can only recommend the tater. Everything else is very mid. New to Colorado but I’ve had good BBQ here (RIP Owl Bear). Everything is super dry, the chicken sandwich is literally two smoked thighs slapped on a a bun. No pickles, no nothing. Shame as the place has a nice view and is conveniently located. If the food were better, I’d see us going there regularly.

My husband and I each got meat and 2 and my son got a kids meal. The amount of meat served was in no way acceptable. I’m not sure how these other reviews received 3 thick slices of brisket but we received maybe 2 ounces each. Adult portions were 1.5 THIN slices of brisket and my son received one very thin slice. At 4 years old (and not a big eater), he ate all of his and mine which left two adults sharing 2 ounces for a $50 lunch because each serving was so dismal. My husband smokes brisket a lot for large quantities of people. We know what a reasonable serving is. The only reason I gave this 2 stars because the brisket was smoked well. It’s too bad we each got a few bites and again, for the $50 price tag it just isn’t acceptable. Please do better.
